Menu Plan Monday...

Howdy, Y'all! As you can tell, I am trying to get back into blogging! I absolutely love my new blog look! Right now, we are renting a place, but one day, Lord willing, in the near future, I want to decorate my kitchen retro! The walls will be a pale yellow, almost a butter color...and I want to use aqua blues, reds, greens, and yellows...kind of like this:
Anyway, I'm building my Dream Book! (Idea via susanbranch.com) Also, I love Aunt Ruthie's website, sugarpiefarmhouse.com, its always filled with lots of homemaking ideas to wet your appetite for making a sweet and loving home! I love these money-saving blogs and sites, and we need to be frugal with our money, but we need to have beautiful, clean homes that our husbands can come home to at night...one that has a woman's touch! Take time to beautify your homes as well as save money!

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is...make your home, a sweet home...so your husband and children will walk in the door and say "HOME SWEET HOME"...even guests will feel welcomed...make it warm and inviting!

Okay, now on to the menu for this week:
By the way, thanks, Jennifer for the idea! I'll definitely have to try that sometime!

Monday: Leftovers from Sunday (Chicken and Dressing Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans)

Tuesday: Cheesy Pasta, Salad, and Bread Sticks

Wednesday: Hotdogs and chips...quick supper...

Thursday: BBQ Porkchops, Green Beans, 5 minute Mac and Cheese, parker house rolls

Friday: Beefy Enchiladas, Salad, and dessert

Saturday: Pizza

Sunday: Chicken and Gravy...hotdog  baby...mama comes home with a bald headed baby...hahaha...no but seriously...we are having Chicken and Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Peas

May also make: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins  and Pumpkin Muffins for breakfast, Chocolate Chip Cookies for Jonathan...ok...and me!, and a special dessert for Friday night...we have company coming!

Happy Monday!

Menu Planning Monday and Goals for the Week

Happy Monday, Y'all! Here we are at a fresh new week. I am so thankful for Monday's! A new week, a fresh start!

Goals for this week:

Spiritual Goals:

  • Take a time each day to pray for each family member by name.
  • Read Bible faithfully.
  • Study God's Word. (This is something that I need to do...I have noticed for myself that I just read it, but am I really getting anything from it? Am I applying it?)
  • Replacement! (Put off and Put on)
Physical Goals:
  • Count my calories faithfully...sigh...must do this!
  • Exercise 3x's this week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
Household Goals:
  • Clean oven.
  • Clean extra bedroom.
  • Normal household cleaning.
  • Put up two more pictures.
Books to read:
  • A Mom Just Like You
Wife and Mother Goals:
  • Work on getting Jeremiah on a schedule for naps. (He hates naps! Pray for me!)
  • Add some things to Jeremiah's baby book
  • Make a special treat for Jonathan (and yes, for me too!)
  • Maybe plan a special date :)
Now for the Menu!!!! I did the same as I did last week as far as my menu. I made a menu with what pantry items I have on hand, and I fill in the gaps when I shop on Tuesday.

Monday: Pinto beans, Cornbread Casserole, and Fried Potatoes
Tuesday: Crockpot BBQ Chicken, Salad, and Macaroni and Cheese
Wednesday: Beef Stew and Biscuits
Thursday: Pizza of some sort...
Friday: Pasta with Alfredo sauce, Salad, and Garlic bread
Saturday: Chicken Fajitas
Sunday: Chicken Pot Pie Cupcakes and Salad (What kind of side do you have with potpie???? I always have a hard time deciding.)

Menu Planning Monday

Today, I thought that I would link up at The Organized Junkie for Menu Plan Monday. Over the past year, I have been making menus each week for meals! Boy, has it helped when it is time to go out grocery shopping! This week, I'm trying to use some things that I have on hand  for our meals. By the way, if you have any meal ideas, I would love to hear them. Sometimes it is so easy to get into a rut! So, I would love some new ideas!

Monday: BBQ Chicken Sandwiches and tater tots (Freezer Meal)
Tuesday: Sunday Leftovers
Wednesday: Homemade chicken noodle soup and bacon sandwiches (freezer/pantry meal)
Thursday: Chicken Enchiladas and salad (Pinterest find plus freezer/pantry meal!)

Friday: Beans and Cornbread (Pantry meal)
Saturday: Pizza Bites or Pizza Monkey Bread and salad

Sunday: Steak and gravy in the crockpot, mashed potatoes, and green beans

Have a wonderful week!
